Landscape Estimator/ Designer

Reportsto: Landscape Manager

Supports:Landscape Project Managers

Responsibilities: Thisposition works closely with the Landscape Project Management team to estimatein-house and outside architects’ plans and projects. This position will also beresponsible for creating original landscape designs and architectural landscapeCAD drawings.

Keytasks include:

  • Retrieve     electronic bidding documents for projects
  • Communicate     and work with clients to obtain all details for accurate estimating
  • Become     familiar with all aspects of the job plans and specifications to fully understand     the scope of work
  • Create     detailed cost estimates based on takeoffs created from landscape and     irrigation designs and specifications to meet profitability standards
  • Secure     and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes and incorporate those     proposals into the estimate
  • Prepare     initial job scope package for new projects for Project Management     (Estimate, proposal, scope, requirements, bid assumptions, schedules,     vendor quotes, specifications, correspondence, promises made, etc.) to     transition to production
  • Maintain     and update lead tracking sheet and actuals tracking sheet
  • Create     original CAD drawings for landscape projects and permitting approvals
  • This     position is expected to contribute to the snow removal efforts

Communication: Communicateeffectively with customers and landscape project managers, work crews, officestaff and service partners to achieve objectives. This includes maintaining aschedule of customer appointments and coordinating follow up. Also respond tocustomer concerns/issues as needed.

Estimatingand bid support & preparation: Create detailed costestimates including for proposed enhancement work. Continually balance companyprofitability with the competitive nature of bidding process by monitoringactual project profitability.

ProjectManagement support: Support management team byprocurement/printing of drawings, purchase order tracking, material planningand ordering, organizing utility locates and keeping track of all costsassociated with each project.

Planningand scheduling: Work with Landscape manager to establish efficient monthly anddaily work schedules and as needed update landscape schedule, issue crew worktickets and help maintain the daily driver list.

Problemsolving: Handle problems that arise in constructive a manner ensure thatsolutions satisfy customers while being mindful of resources.

Experienceand Qualification requirements:

  • 3+     years of estimating experience and/or landscape construction experience
  • Exceptional     attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Exceptional     computer skills
  • Proficient     in AutoCad, Microsoft Office Suite, digital takeoff software, Adobe Pro
  • Valid     Colorado Driver’s License with a safe driving record
  • Ability     to read and interpret documents such as architectural drawings, safety     rules, operating & maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Landscape Project Manager

Responsibilities: The Landscape Project Manager oversees a landscape construction project from inception to completion. This position will be responsible for initiating and conducting customer visits and design meetings, creating original landscape designs and detailed cost estimates, managing the project during construction, and conducting project conclusion and invoicing.

Reports to: Landscape Manager

Key tasks include:

  • Management of daily operations for the landscape crews
  • Scheduling of projects and enhancements
  • Communication with, and liaison for, the clients and crews
  • Perform site inspections and meetings with clients to ensure quality and service meet expectations
  • Problem-solving and customer satisfaction
  • Recommendations and implementation of site enhancements
  • Sales and estimating of new contracts to meet profitability standards
  • Review and renewal of existing contracts
  • Safety monitoring and training
  • Assist in hiring, promoting and disciplinary action of crew members
  • Purchasing of tools, supplies and materials
  • Oversee truck & tool maintenance and repairs
  • Lead and train crew members toward continual improvement
  • Oversee time management and record-keeping of job
  • Input on planning and strategy for reaching company goals
  • Quality control

Experience and Qualification requirements:

  • Driver’s license
  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience in landscape installation or maintenance
  • Must be familiar with local plant knowledge (plant ID, care, pruning, soils)
  • Knowledge of safety practices and OSHA regulations
  • Knowledge of basic irrigation repairs and clock adjustments
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good communication through strong verbal and writing skills
  • Computer skills – Google Workspace, Quickbooks, Microsoft Suite, AutoCad

Client Relations Specialist

Responsibilities: The Client Relations Specialist is responsible for the primary customer contact (phone and email) for commercial and residential accounts and scheduling the following work functions with guidance from the account and operating managers:

Irrigation

Grounds Maintenance

Landscape

Snow Removal

Reports to: Natalie Martinez

Key tasks include:

Working on a team, this position will be working on the following:

Customer Service. Handling phone and e-mail communication with customers to address service questions and issues, scheduling requirements utilizing LMN software and other pertinent information. Industry knowledge helpful.

Scheduling. Maintain crew schedules in LMN optimizing company resources and efficiently scheduling work flow. Knowledge of Boulder County streets/neighborhoods is helpful. Utilize GPS tracking system to keep track of crews and optimize routes.

Workorders. Close out work orders in a timely fashion to ensure everything is ready for invoicing and that follow up repairs/work is scheduled in a timely fashion. Quickbooks knowledge necessary.

Tracking job costing: input data and produce reports to support productivity analysis.

Service Division Support: Provide support to each service division to achieve overall company objectives

Dispatch – provide support to snow management crews during winter months. This requires schedule flexibility, with some early morning, evening, and weekend hours possible.
